A Downtown Providence RI Bed and Breakfast Hotel   

The MOWRY-NICHOLSON HOUSE - circa 1856, named for its first two owners in the
mid-19th century, is a fully restored three story Victorian style mansion with 13 guest rooms and suites, a common room, dining room, large side porch and a conference room. This inn came close to being demolished in 2001 - 2002, before it was restored and converted to a unique bed and breakfast inn. As well as being on the National Historic Register, Mowry-Nicholson House has been awarded a Three Diamond AAA rating and the Yankee Magazine "Editors' Choice" designation.

The inn is located close to Brown University, Johnson & Wales University, Providence College, and Rhode Island School of Design - RISD. We are also within walking distance to Providence Place Mall, the State Capitol, Amtrak station, the Convention Center, IMAX Theater, and, our famous Water Fire. There is so much to see and do in Rhode Island including enjoying a wide variety of centrally located fine dining restaurants nestled among your choice of activities. Day trips to glorious Newport, a beach outing, or experiencing Boston's famous Newbury Street shopping and China Town are all within a short driving distance from the inns.
