Skiing in Rhode Island at Yawgoo Valley Ski Area

Now open for the 2024 Winter Season

Yawgoo Valley is Rhode Island’s only ski resort that is still in operation. It is located in Exeter, south of Providence, and opened in the 1965–66 season as “Rhode Island’s first chairlift served ski area”. Yawgoo relies heavily on artificial snowmaking, being one of the southernmost ski areas in New England. The Ski Area is operational in early December through late March. If Snow Tubing is more your speed,  the tubing park operates from Mid-January through March, weather dependent.

During the winter months, you can ski and snowboard on 12 trails spread over 36 acres of terrain with 2 double chair lifts.

The snow tubing park offers 2 rope tows, no walking uphill!

Enjoy free parking, concessions at Shredders Snack shack, and relax in the Max Lounge.

Didn’t bring any snow gear? They have a pro shop and a rental equipment shop.

Hours of Operation
Monday-Wednesday: 3 PM – 8 PM
Thursday-Friday: 10 AM – 8 PM
Saturday: 9 AM – 4 PM & 5 PM – 8 PM
Sunday: 9 AM – 4 PM

Hours are weather-dependent; check the daily operations report.
